I'll stamp all over 'credible combatant' Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight round match which will be shown in real-time on Netflix.

British boxer Anthony Joshua said he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "defeat" the American as the combatants met personally to promote next month's heavyweight fight.

Former two-time world boxing king Joshua meets social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a huge disparity - at Miami's venue on December 19th.

Fighter's Attitude

"I plan to damage his features and break his body up. I'm here to prove my superiority," the British boxer, 35 years old, stated.

"I will dominate him completely. That's how fighters think.

"I intend to genuinely try to hurt him. That's my goal."

Civil Exchange

Despite such comments, a relaxed Joshua and social media star Paul - typically recognized for his theatrics - exchanged pleasantries and maintained decorum with each other.

Jake Paul rather criticized ex Joshua rival the Cameroonian fighter and described him as "a joke" after the Cameroonian turned down a fight offer.

Targeting Fury

Joshua, at the same time, criticized British rival Fury - and rejected a million-pound wager 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a Paul victory.

"[Paul] is superior to Fury - he showed up," Joshua stated.

"I respect him for that."

Serious Fighter

Despite stating he plans to punish Paul, Anthony Joshua refused to talk badly about his rival's boxing ability.

"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he said.

Paul's History

Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has mainly boxed mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since turning professional.

He was defeated by Briton Tommy Fury in last year.

Financial Success

Nevertheless, the inexperienced fighter is still one of boxing's largest financial successes, regularly earning huge financial rewards.

Forecast and Confidence

The 28-year-old forecast a KO victory in rounds four or five and asserted he would derail the long-awaited Fury-Joshua bout, which is allegedly being planned for 2026.

"It will be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Paul said.

Physical Difference

As the two fighters met for the traditional stare-down, with their height and weight contrast evident, it emphasized just how improbable this entire matchup is - and how amazing it is that the fight is really happening.
